Money,cars,clothes,hoes.What would we do to get a record deal or be the next sensation. Everyone is more focused on making it big then working on there craft. Art,music and sports have all lost meaning. Competitiveness an style have been replaced with glory,fame and money.
I mean lets be serious its good that people are being rewarded for being creative or working hard but it seems as though the people who are making the most don’t put in as much effort as they did once. Your favorite musicians latest album is not as good as his debut because he is not as hungry anymore. I hate to say this but lets take 90’s rap music versus new school rap. Im nineteen years of age an i can see that rap music has gotten sluggish.The metaphors and the similes and even the punch lines are gone. I know
many people would buy the new Jay z albums because he is Jay z you wouldnt care if he hummed half the lyrics. And if you subtract all the chains and clothing an nice cars from these rappers what are we left with?
And I don’t believe its the artists or athletes or musicians fault. Dare i say not even politicians fault that we are choosing snakes to head positions. Its our fault. When have we decided to accept what we are given. We settle for snake politicians because they spend more on ads or they wear better suits. I would vote for an average person who has enough education and who respects the daily struggles of people to office. Not a corporate fat cat who would put in extra work right before the elections.
